Paris has rain, yes and their dryers are not much better, but you have connectivity to the entire world and many places by train. MAKE NO MISTAKE, PORTUGAL IS A REMOTE ISOLATED PLACE.
In winter, neon green mold creeps several feet, up the outside of your house walls and inside too. Even with a very solidly built home. Many people have written about this online and this research can be confirmed if you look online.
In the winter, it pours rain and most recently storms raging up to 100 mph. You need heat, it’s damp cold. It is a different kind of air.
